2021 Wrapped

The title for this blog is inspired by my Spotify-wrapped playlists, they are not that accurate as I also listened to some musicals (especially Notre Dame de Paris in Dutch) on Youtube.

No surprise that Broadway is Number 1, followed by some Dutch Cabaret (Kleinkunst), West End, and Pop music (especially TOP 50).

My most 5 played numbers come from 2 albums:

  • Jersey Boys – Broadway cast
  • A Spoonful of Stiles & Drew

However going on the top 5 artists, these were not the only musical albums I listened to. Because next to Franky Valli and the cast of Jersey Boys, this top 5 is completed by:

  • Matthew Morrison & the Finding Neverland cast album
  • Andrew Rannels & Josh Gad. Did anyone say cast album of The Book of Mormon?

In total, I listened to 1040 different artists.

Hopefully, in 2022 I can see some musicals again in a theatre, near or farther away from me. I haven’t decided which ones yet. Come from Away was touring the Netherlands before a lockdown closed theaters there. But as the broadway cast album already made me cry, I’m still on the fence if I should order tickets or not. And after almost 3 years of not visiting London, that is certainly on the wishlist for 2022.

2021 was another year where COVID had a big influence on our lives, and looking back at the photos I took during the year, I blogged about all my highlights this year.

Seems I did less walking this year, compared to 2020. Not sure if the cause was more rainy weather (or what seems like it), or just laziness. So I’m recycling my walking goal of 2020, which I didn’t reach by far, and updating it for 2022. I’m aiming to walk 1011 miles starting tomorrow. The last 2 years I mostly tracked and did races from the Yes.Fit app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yesfitclient), this is a paying service but you could choose a medal or t-shirt as a reward for finishing your races. Due to extra TVA and import taxes on anything arriving from outside the EU, this become unfortunately too expensive. Hence, I will go back to the free app World Walking (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.papertank.worldwalking). This app will require a bit more manual tracking as I already started a walk “Scotland: Heritage, land, and culture”, but I have still a bit less than 800 miles to go.

I still need to write this goal in my 2022 planner and as well as other goals for the year to come. I also still need to break them all down into Smart goals, per month or week. But my vision board is ready to inspire and guide me to reach these goals.

I wish you all a heapy and healty 2022! May all your goals and dreams come trough next year. Don’t hesitate to share some goals you have for the new Year.

I have some ideas for blogs in January already but feel free to share some topics you like to read about and think I like to write about. That way I hopefully can deliver regular posts to you, at least one a week.
