    In less than 6 months there is another set of candles to blow out on a new birthday cake, so it is about time I take you back to this year’s birthday. That it was going to be again a birthday celebrated in Belgium was already a given as non-essential travel was not allowed until after Easter because of Covid.     Last week my mother had her birthday and the day before my parents celebrated their wedding anniversary.  I try to make the greeting cards myself each year.  But depending on time and mood, it doesn’t always happen.  However with the intention I set on my own birthday to send cards for every birthday during quarantine I couldn’t skip this year. Nevertheless I must admit that I didn’t follow trough on this for a couple of my cousins birthdays.  The reason for this was that I either didn’t have their correct address or date of birth.     Birthday in Covid19 lockdown

    On March 29th I celebrated my 40th birthday. It was a birthday that before the Covid 19 pandemic was already weighing on me in terms of what have I achieved already and what I have to show for it. However the celebrations wouldn’t be any different than any other birthday. For about 10 years now it is tradition that I will go and watch a musical by myself.
