    Happy New Year!

January is almost over, but as this is my first blog this year, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope you had a good start to the year. I need to work on a couple of my resolutions and goals, but trying my best every day. One of these goals is of course this blog. Thanks to the topic calendar from OM Collective (www.omcollective.com) I had a blog post planned for each of the previous weeks of January.  It seems, however, that I wasn’t that invested in the actual topics I selected. For the first week of January, I wanted to share some mocktail recipes…

    International Literacy Day

This post was to go up on, or before September 8th for “International Literacy Day”. How many to do-lists I write, not all of these things get done. This is the area in my life where my “rebel” tendency as Gretchen Rubin describes in her book “the four tendencies” (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33566873-the-four-tendencies?from_search=true&from_srp=true&qid=Ep8j4HirOo&rank=1) is really pronounced. I don’t know if there is a relation between this tendency and the enneagram type 5, but that’s were books come in. For me books can be as much an escape as ways to gain information. However being able (to learn) to read is such a valuable skill, it doesn’t only help you to navigate in an…

Goodbye August: highlights of the last 2 weeks of the month

My dad has his birthday today, so that means that it is the last day of August. In his honor I’m starting of this post with the card I made for his birthday. I only found out after my first Craftelier haul,(www.craftelier.com) that my Silhoutte cameo is no longer compatible with Windows 10. Hence for the word “Birthday” I used the “Marianne Design Col1349 Birthday-UK” cutting die with my “love 2 craft”. The 67 is from a paint stencil bought at Action and cut out with scissors on Kraft Paper. The happy is the top of a Happy Birthday stamp. I added all this on a facemask and more Kraft…

Before the pen in my Happy Planner

Continuing were I left of in my last post, my package from http://www.hobbywerken.nl came only on Thursday. It is easy to get addicted to these stickers and pages, and every excuse to buy more is good. I really need to work on my eating and fitness habits, so I placed a new order with the same shop the next day. This included the fitness kit and digital detox stickers. That Friday I worked from home, as they would let us know if we could stay or were let go from our jobs, I wanted to first process this news on my own. For those curious to know, I still have…

    Goodbye July, Hello Augustus

Another month has gone by, and as I haven’t posted in the meantime let me catch you up. Well last month didn’t start out that well. Not only was the weather mostly spring like after a really good last week of June. I also caught a cold from my dad. In the beginning this cold was quit severe and as corona is not yet over the anxiety took over a bit. Never had a fever, so it probably was just a cold. However I made sure I didn’t go out unnecessary and I also ordered some groceries to be delivered. One of the groceries were a fresh fruit & vegetable…
